Written Case Study – Business Ethics
The purpose of this assignment is to explore the business ethics issues surrounding the recent Australian Royal Commission into the Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry (The Banking Royal Commission).
You are to present a brief but detailed analysis of ethical leadership and consider what the Banking Royal Commission discovered with regards the failure of such leadership which led to the Reports principal findings. In doing so you need to address the following issues:
Application and/or relevance of the Toxic Triangle including justification for your assessment
Consideration and relevance of Kellermans approach to defining bad leadership
The application of Kidders four ethical dilemmas and how some or all of these may relate to describing the ethical dilemmas faced by leadership within the banking, superannuation and financial services industry
Describing how Kidders Ethical Checkpoint framework would assist this sector in addressing the ethical dilemmas faced including reasons for your assessment, and
Consider issues of trust in leadership and what may be the implications for this sector into the future
