Urban Air Mobility (UAM)

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) is being pursued by multiple companies and government agencies in order to serve as an alternative form of transportation in congested road traffic in cities. This initiative will include UAS and manned aircraft operations delivering cargo and passengers throughout an urban environment. While this is an exciting idea, safely integrating these systems into existing airspace poses many challenges from both a technical, regulatory, and human factors point of view.

Find a current example of a UAM system that is being developed or used and post a link to it in the discussion. Discuss your example, then address the most challenging issues you foresee these systems facing in general as they are introduced into everyday life. Be sure to consider the following items in your discussion posts:

· Infrastructure.

· Airspace integration.

· Technical aspects of this emerging business case.

· Include what you think a realistic timeline could be for this concept to be implemented based on current regulations.
