Your presentation must include at least two reputable sources. Your textbook can be one. If you question whether a source is reputable, please ask your course faculty member.
You may use PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slides, or Microsoft Word to create your presentation. You may use images but are not required to. There is no word count requirement, but as a guideline, each slide should have at least 50 words, except for the title page and reference page.
Use your own words and cite the sources you use. Please review SJVC’s plagiarism policy as outlined in your student handbook and in this course’s policy document.

• Slide 1: Title slide with your name
• Slide 2: Introduce your topic; how do you define it?
• Slide 3: What are some of the obstacles those represented have faced historically?
• Slide 4: What are some social movements affiliated with your topic, either in the past or currently?
• Slide 5: Choose what you consider to be one of the most influential social movements to help advance the rights of this group or organization. Why do you consider them to be important?
• Slide 6: Briefly describe any legislative progress regarding your topic.
• Slide 7: Do you believe legislation can solve moral problems? Why or why not?
• Slide 8: Review the theories of social movements from Chapter 16, pages 335- 339. Which theory applies best to your topic? Why did you choose this theory?
• Slide 9: Provide some concluding thoughts about how the culture has changed and what further change you would like to see related to your topic.
