Introduction: Police Managing and Supervising is like a balancing act on one hand you have a job skill to handle the job physically, and on the other hand you must learn how to deal with people, assigning where best to use each and every officer not just for crime but, where it works best financially and effectively .

A Supervisor has the ability to set the tone for the offiicers on the field, and this in many ways can reflect as a positive or negative in interacting with the community.

There has to be those Inter Personal skill or people skills

A leader in Police Management must know how to communicate, understand people, motivate people rely on significant training, be able to coach and to give and receive positive or negative feedback and not think of it as a attack, but as information?

I start here because it is the supervisor all the police management who will give us the police department that we have, and who fight crime in the streets every day in the United States of America. It is important that we have supervisors, or directors who can weed out those who do very bad jobs, and coach, train, and motivate those who can when they become the upper level of police management down the road.

Good communication is always going to benefit not just a police officer by the communities in which they patrol, it is paramount that the communities that are being patrolled by mostly people who do not live in those communities, or look like the people who are in those communities, can understand respect and trust in the fairness that the patrol officer will indeed see them, not as a crok, criminal or a color,but as a human being? When the scaffolding and breaking down the assignments of the police within the police which has been the way upper management has been doing things for years.it’s important i feel that they understand the community they serve, and protect?

This way up picking certain parts of the police department to do certain jobs, traffic police do a certain type of jobs, auxiliary police do a certain type of job, detectives do a certain type of job, homicide does a certain type of job community police officers do a certain kind of job.

These forms of different departments within the police department allows certain crimes to be investigated by those who really work in those lines of policing,

But,in the end It is the police department in the cities of America, particularly the inner cities of America that need to always be reinforced that communications, relationships with do not always have to turn into a situation where someone is killed, beaten, or insulted.

There are also myths that have to start being debunked as well, This would go far with having community policing, having dialogue within the community of people of color?

There has been one reoccurring theory, that white cops are more likely to shoot black people because of racial bias. A new study is challenging that conclusion. NPRs Martin Kaste Concluded, in his research.

“Kaste Takes from his study and research when you look at the number police shootings in relations to the population, you find that people of color are not killed more than white people. The reason for their disparity has been intensified debated for years, especially since George Floyd was killed almost 1 year ago.

In his study he concluded that the race of a police officer did not predict a race of the citizens shot. In other words, black officers were just as likely to shoot black citizens as white officers.

“These assumptions are made by mostly media who will always jump on the white cop kills a black kid in Harlem” this is not to say that race and peoples perception may not be the cause of killings,but, we must follow the data as well.(Martin Kaste, NPR News.)

How Police Supervisory Styles Influence Patrol Officer Behavior

“Does field supervision of patrol officers matter?

. Four supervisory styles emerged from the research. The style identified as active was more likely than the others to influence officer behavior. This influence can be either positive or negative; for example, it can inspire subordinates to engage in more problem solving activities, or it can result in more frequent usem of force. An active supervisory style was also the most conducive to implementing community policing goals as reported by Robin Shepard Engel author of the report.

I will go on to write about how having a strong bond between Police Management and Supervisors,that will and can make both parties help each other to be safe and to be free of crime?
