Environmental and Resource Management WRAP UP PROJECT

For this last assignment you will be building an environmental database of how and where to locate information about environmental and resource management issues.

The Environmental Database The point of this assignment is to introduce you to all the places you can look to find out more information about the environment. On each page, you are to explore a different type of resource that focused on the environment in some way. Note: every entry must be accompanied by an annotation consisting of a minimum of a one sentence description of each resource.

1st Page A list of 10 internet websites that provide information on the environment in general. You must have at least one site dealing with each of the 4 course units. If you do not know the 4 course units, they are listed at the end of this assignment. Be sure to include a correct web link so I can check it out. (10 marks)

2nd Page On this page you will generate a list of websites, journals, periodicals, and magazines that focus on your topic. You must find a MINIMUM of two of each and you have to have 10 different sources. Be sure to include links to the sites. (10 marks)

3rd Page On this page you will generate a list of media sources (television programs, movies, videos, software) that promote environmental management on some level (personal, corporate, industrial) of the topic that you have selected. Be sure to include links to the sites. (10 marks)

4th Page On this page you will generate a list of popular music pertaining to the environment (anything about the environment). Be sure to include the artist and the song title. (10 marks)

5th Page On this page you will generate a list of organizations, services, or agencies that are involved in or deal directly with environmental issues on the local, regional, national, or international level. Be sure to include contact information. (5 organizations minimum and 5 marks)

6th Page

On this page you will generate a list of articles from the local newspapers (Toronto, Hamilton, anything in Ontario) focusing on environmental issues of local concern. Be sure to include the name of the paper, page number, and date of the article. (5 articles minimum and 5 marks)
