Hello class,

Some of the child welfare social worker’s essential accountabilities contain replying to circumstances of child abuse and abandonment; removing kids from household locations that are unsafe or do not see confident ethics; working with kids and their families on a reconsolidation strategy in partnership with kid dependance law court. Social workers encounter crucial choices about the lives of these susceptible families and minorities while at work in traumatic situations that involve excessive caseloads and, insufficient guidance, protection worries, and incomplete education and assets. Child welfare organizations throughout the state are strained outside capability, triggering several social work experts to be exceedingly overworked. Combined with minimal wages and managerial responsibilities, can involve the employment and preservation of skilled staff.

Hello everyone,

The ultimate focus of child welfare services is on issues, problems, and policies related to child welfare (Farley et al., 2011). Not every child needs the same type of services, so child welfare services utilize social workers in different areas of service to provide each child with the help they need. Some areas of assistance include child abuse/neglect, in-home care, foster care, or adoption (Farley et al., 2011). Some social workers will specialize in child abuse and neglect. These workers will respond to reports of abuse or neglect and conduct in-home investigations to see if these reports have merit. If evidence of abuse is present, the child may be removed from the home temporarily and placed into foster care while classes or counseling are offered to the family with hopes of the child returning home with the family. In cases where the abuse/neglect is severe or attempts to rehabilitate the family have failed, the child may be placed into adoption to find the child a home that will offer them the love and support needed to succeed in life. I believe that the biggest obstacle that social workers face is the overwhelming number of cases that they are assigned. Having a large caseload will make it very difficult or impossible to provide some children with the best service possible
