Requirements:
A thorough analysis of the key issues in the Assignment is to be included in the paper. Make sure to employ the key concepts studied in the text.
The analysis should provide a brief background for the reader. Identify what the group believes to be the key issues; describe the elements of critical thinking and decision making that came into play; and the group’s assessment of what might have been done to change the situation to a positive outcome if necessary. Be sure to answer the questions at the end of your assigned case.
1) Individual provides a thorough and detailed description of the organization including its primary purpose (mission), organizational structure, size, and geographic location.
2) Individual provides a thorough and detailed description of the competitive and environmental trends that are likely to have a strong influence on the organization and the major challenges that the organization will face in the next 2-3 years.
3) Individual provides a thorough and detailed description of the role of HRM, defends whether the HR function should participate in the strategic planning process, and describes the reasons why the organization chooses its particular strategic planning process.
4) Individual provides a thorough and detailed description of the current HRM function/department describing what functions are performed and by who as well as how HRM programs align with the strategic plan of the organization.
5) Individual provides a thorough and detailed explanation comparing the organization’s approach to alignment of HR programs that appropriately support the mission and objectives of the organization versus that of other organizations.
6) Individual provides a thorough and detailed explanation of any approaches that organizations might need to take to improve alignment.
7) Individual provides a thorough and detailed evaluation of two alternative approaches designed to strategically align HR with individual’s chosen organization evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of these approaches as they relate to individual’s organization’s industry, situation, mission, and strategic objectives.
8) Individual provides three primary prioritized recommendations for change thoroughly addressing feasibility with respect to cost, length of time to implement, organizational culture and receptivity, and existing available talent and skill to support a logical implementation plan for making the change.
