DIRECTIONS Begin by reading the Who Moved My Cheese? book posted in blackboard. Take notes to describe the setting and the core concepts BECAUSE this is the subject of your training session. Next, identify examples of the core concepts from your internship experience or from the 2 movies selected from the approved list posted on blackboard. You supervise a staff of 3 full time entry level positions and 3 interns. You recently returned from a conference where people were talking about the book Who Moved My Cheese? You were intrigued — wondering what all the fuss was about — so upon returning home you read the book. You then decide the Cheese message (and examples) will be the topic of your next 30-35 minute in-service staff training. Desired Outcomes: – Describe the method – Identify when the method needs to be used – Use method in real time to fix issues PROCESS This activity is designed to be a discussion on what needs to be changed in the workplace when we see something that goes wrong. There should be a heavy emphasis on the discussion portion and notes taken. This is how we will talk through things to see what we can fix and what we can keep the same. Many people do not like change, but if it is hurting our company then we must make changes. – K: Keep it up — Keep correcting any behavior you see that could be harmful and always keep a positive mindset when interacting with anyone. Know who you are talking to and how you may have to approach them. Everyone is not the same, so some may need a different talk than others.
