Eastern Kentucky University Environmental Sustainability Presentation

Eastern Kentucky University Environmental Sustainability Presentation

I need to do a 4 minutes presentation videotape. So, I want a word document with a speech and a PPT for the visual aid. You can choose any topic as long as it is appropriate to the audience I also need a one-page outline that contains: Your Name Topic/Title Introduction (can be written word for word) Main Body — bullet points are fine, no formal format required Conclusion (can be written word for word) Sources (any format as long as I can find what you found with the information cited under sources) I have attached the Speech Criteria and the Grading Form. Name: Title: Importance of Education to the Economy Education is a critical factor in the fundamental sustainable development of any nation. Investing in education as a form of human capital is very vital in a country’s economic growth. A more productive economy is often the result of an educated workforce since educated workers can perform their tasks more efficiently since they can apply knowledge and critical thinking. Higher education attainment results in a more skilled and competitive workforce, promoting faster economic growth and development. Education ensures a country’s financial success as it leads to better decision-making and enhanced productivity obtained from skillful, competent, and knowledgeable workers. Education contributes to sustainable economic development by enriching people’s understanding of their world and themselves. The people’s creativity is enhanced, and there is the promotion of technological and entrepreneurship advances (Ozturk, 2001). Innovativeness and creativity arise from education, and they encourage a country’s citizens to become independent and make their living other than just depending on employment. Education also promotes better health among the workforce; for instance, one can acquire knowledge on better lifestyle and extend their life span, which yields a more extended working period (Rhagupathi and Rhagupathi, 2020). Through education, environmental protection is considered, promoting good health among the workforce due to reduced pollution. A healthier workforce is more productive than one with sickly workers, and therefore better health promotes faster economic growth. Theories that support the vitality of education to economic growth comprise the signaling theory and the human capital theory (O’Dubhslainé, 2006). The human capital theory analyses the relationship between education functions and economic development and states that the accumulation of human capital is essential for economic growth since education enables people to acquire analytical skills and cognitive capabilities. The signaling theory argues that education level serves as an indication of behavioral traits looked for by an employer. Education enhances the work quality and decision-making process of employees. In conclusion, education is vital in promoting any country’s economic development as it results in skilled and competitive workforces who are better decision-makers. Two theories that support this ideal are the human capital theory and the signaling theory, emphasizing the relevance of education in promoting work efficiency. Therefore, education should be embraced as a critical factor in promoting the economic growth and development of a country. References O’Dubhslainé, A. (2006).
