DATABASE CYBER SECURITY 2 Database Cybersecurity Professor’s name: Student’s name: Date ABSTRACT In my project, I will focus on database cybersecurity and how to mitigate data theft. A database is a group of information organized for easy accessibility, updating, and management. Cybersecurity, on the other hand, is the process of protecting computer systems and networks from theft or damaging of data, software, or hardware or from disruption of the services they offer. The paper is a summary of the literature I obtained in the course of my research (Graham et al., 2016). Computer databases typically contain records and files which contain sale transaction information and information about specific customers. Database cybersecurity guard product is used in the detection of data theft by hackers or malicious employees in an organization. It acts as a protection of data of oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and Informix databases. To capture the entire database queries issued to the database, the Database Cyber Security Guard product utilizes a non-intrusive network sniffing technology. It operates from a network proxy server and does not connect to databases that are protected. The advanced SQL analysis of the product from which the queries are captured from learns what healthy query applications behaviors and patterns are with the submitted IP address of each question (Moore, R., 2014).
